"The Kurinuki series are functional contemporary designs inspired by the classical Japanese ceramic and aesthetic. In her kurinuki series, Sepideh sometimes emphasises on classical elements, while at the same time stepping beyond traditional forms.

Every piece will always carry the traces of the artist's hands and tools with it and reveal its making process.

Technique:
Each item is gradually hand-carved out of a clump of clay adopting to its nature. Gestural pour-patterning of the glaze accentuates the artistic quality of each piece.

Maintenance: All artworks are unique, therefore always handle the items carefully. You can put this piece in a washing machine, but hand-washing is highly recommended. It is not recommended to put this piece in a microwave.
